Our team reached the location the very next day to remove all the household items. Our objective was to clear the whole house, not leaving anything behind. We started with the large and bulky objects first (such as tables and beds) to clear up room for more walking space. Following this, we moved to the smaller items, which included couches, cupboards, small tables, wooden stands, etc. To our surprise, all of it was in good condition, so we took extra care in handling them and carefully loaded them in our  van. We successfully finished our work there in a few hours time.

Disposal of Contents

Since the furniture was untarnished we donated it to the charity to be reused. All contents of the property was re used and recycled.

Clearance requirements

We were contacted by the owners of a carpeted two-bedroom flat in the Lincoln area and were asked to complete the clearance prior to previous tenants moving out. All the furniture was still in place, and the house had not been cleaned in months. Now the landlord instructed us to clear the place so that it could be rented again, cleaning only the furniture and leaving it there so that the next renter could use it. All other contents to be removed. We were told that we would have to use vacuum cleaners on the carpets. We were also instructed to clean the kitchen cabinets. The customer advised us to donate all the books to a nearby orphanage and the paintings and photographs to an old age home.

Clearance overview

We arrived at the property around 9am just as the owner unlocked the flat for us to enter. We were a team of 3 and evenly distributed the responsibilities amongst us. The customer was very confident for us to donate as much as we could to a local charity.

Disposal of contents

The only contents that needed to be disposed off from the flat was the clutter, general waste, curtains and blinds, 75% of the contents were donated, what could not be donated was recycled further at a pro recycling centre. All furniture was to be left intact, only cleaned.
