CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
We were asked to clear a two-bedroom flat in the city centre in a busy building.
The flat was located on the third floor. The family living there had already
taken a new flat and the landlord wanted to rent the flat
as soon as possible.
CLEARANCE OVERVIEW
The flat had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and a
kitchen. The carpets were to be removed so the landlord could
replace them, and the bathroom’s shower curtains and rugs had to be
removed, and cupboards had to be emptied. There was little parking
space available, even towards the backside of the building, which
had the back entrance from where the furniture could be removed. We
had to come at 7.00 am in the morning to get an accessible parking
space.
DISPOSAL OF CONTENTS
The bathrooms shower curtains were plastic and were given to a
nearby recycling company. The family had left behind some chairs in
the living room which were donated to an charity. The building was
a little congested, with the elevator being very small. The team had
to climb three flights of stairs numerous times to clear the
flat as most of the contents could not have been taken through
the elevator. All furniture was taken to an charity shop along with
smalls items such as vases, pictures, ornaments and bags of clothes.
CLIENT COMMENTS
The landlord of the building was extremely pleased with our work.
He said that even though this was his first experience with our
company, it would not be his last. “I would like to thank the team at RWR for helping me out on such short notice, they made everything easy for me and were a respectful bunch of lads, would certainly use again.”
